Saddleback Church uses Microsoft Entra ID as our single-sign on (SSO) provider for authentication.
For example, when you log in to your Google Workspace account, you are redirected to a Microsoft login page to authenticate before being connected to Google services. Your Webex account works in the same way.
To activate your account:
Click the link in the email that you received from Saddleback IT
On the Webex site you are taken to, click Sign In
Enter your email address, and click Next
If you have already logged in using Microsoft, you will be directed back to the Webex site
If you are not already logged in using Microsoft, the page will redirect to the Microsoft login page, where you need to enter your email address, password, and multi-factor authentication (MFA) as prompted
After activating your Webex account, you will want to set your voicemail PIN, recorded name, and outgoing greeting(s). Please refer below for instructions on how to do so.
Also, we have enabled your account to receive a copy of each voicemail message as an audio file attachment that will be emailed to you, but you will need to delete the message from your voicemail box using your desk phone or via the Webex app.
Webex enables you to make and receive calls from your mobile device (or your church-issued computer) using the Webex app.
To download the Webex app, please visit https://www.webex.com/downloads.html
To update your voicemail PIN via the web portal:
Go to https://user.webex.com/
Select Settings on the left navigation bar
Select Calling
Select Voicemail
Click Reset voicemail PIN
Enter your new voicemail PIN [Please note the requirements shown]
Confirm your new voicemail PIN
Click Save
Your voicemail PIN can also be updated by calling into your voicemail box and selecting the appropriate options.
Note: If your voice mail box is locked out, you can reset your own PIN from the web portal, which will remove the lockout.
To update your voicemail greeting:
Open the Webex app on your mobile device
Click to select the Dialpad [Please refer to the mobile device screenshot below]
Click on the voicemail button at the top right of the screen
On first time setup, you will be required to update your PIN and record your name
Enter your voicemail PIN, followed by the pound (#) key
Press 1 to access your voicemail box
Press 3 to change your mailbox no-answer greeting [or press 2 to change your mailbox busy greeting]
Press 1 to record a new greeting
Record your greeting [press the pound (#) key to stop recording]
To re-record your greeting, press 1
To play your recorded greeting , press 2
Press the star (*) key to return to the previous menu
Hang up to exit
Your voicemail greeting can also be updated by pressing the voicemail button on your Cisco desk phone and selecting the appropriate options, or via the web portal at https://user.webex.com/. [Please refer to the web portal screenshot below]
Voicemail messages for your personal extension can be managed using the Voicemail tab in the Webex app or by pressing the Voicemail button on your Cisco desk phone.
To manage a shared extension (or any Webex voice mail box), use the following steps:
Call the Webex Voice Portal at +19496098001 (or x8001)
Enter the extension number for the mailbox and press #
Enter the passcode (PIN) for the mailbox and press #
Press 1 to access the voice mail box
Follow the prompts to listen to messages, to save or delete messages, or to change your greeting(s)
To transfer calls on a Cisco desk phone from one extension to another extension:
There must be an active call on the line
Press the physical button below the "BlindXfer" soft key
After dial tone is heard, dial the extension that you wish to transfer the call to
The call will be transferred to the dialed extension, and the call will disconnect on the original line
Our goal is to provide a phone number/extension to all staff members to enable communication internally and with outside parties. If you do not currently have an assigned extension, or you need an extension for your team's communications, please send a request to itservicedesk@saddleback.com.
For team extensions, please remember to include the name of the team and the existing email address that you would like the voicemail box connected to (if applicable). Please also provide a list of team members that will need the extension on their phone and/or need access to the connected voicemail box.
